St. Francis Hill Chapel is a Grade ll lisyted building located in the countryside near Goosnargh, Lancashire. We were brought in to address a failed roof structure that necessitated the installation of a column in the middle of the nave. A scheme of repairs to roof trusses allowed the removal of the column, replacement of the asbestos ceiling with a new 'sky', and the re-lighting and decoration of the interior. During ceiling works we found paintings surmounting the Sanctuary arch, hidden under layers of woodchip wallpaper. These were cleaned and restored to view. Completion March 2025.
